We are so proud to share the brilliant news that we have been awarded the IQM Inclusive School Award with Centre of Excellence Status.
Some key highlights within the report say:
Inclusion is viewed as everyone's responsibility. They have instilled the belief that high levels of poverty and deprivation, Special Educational Needs and English as an Additional Language are not an excuse for underachievement and believe in, "giving every child their childhood". They aspire to, "serve our community to give all children opportunities for the future." Staff take pride in the progress of their pupils and are keenly aware of what is needed for their success. Behaviour, attitudes towards learning, and personal development are significant strengths at Ark Castledown Primary Academy. I am of the opinion that the school fully meets the standard required by the Inclusion Quality Mark's Inclusive Schools Award. The school also meets our Centre of Excellence Criteria and I am happy to confirm that Ark Castledown has also achieved Centre of Excellence status.
