Our approach
At Ark Castledown Primary School, Art and Design Technology provides all pupils with a creative outlet fueled by curiosity. Our progressive curriculum creates opportunities for self-expression and the development of emotional intelligence.
Children will leave Ark Castledown having explored a range of media and develop their skills in drawing, painting, collage, printing, sculpture, textiles, food technology, construction inc woodwork and simple circuitry work. All children will have found a form of communication that they are passionate to explore further in KS3.
At Ark Castledown Primary School, in accordance to the National Curriculum’s expectations, children will experiment with their ideas, their use of colour, texture, form, pattern and different materials and processes.
